Trade names announced for our South Puget Sound project

Our project located in the greater Seattle/Tacoma area in Gig Harbor has announced its trade names. The entire project is named Ocean5 and the separate destination restaurant will be known as Table 47.

Owner, Troy Alstead, the former Starbucks chief operating officer said, "We are creating a place that is about connections for people. Everything from how we named it to how we designed the building is about creating connections. Priority one is to have fun and socialize. That is the starting point. We then have a platform to go further to inspire and connect people to thinking about the environment."

Alstead has had a lifelong passion for the ocean. Ocean5 gets its name from the idea that all five of the world's oceans are connected. He says he wants to create a business that can also be a space to drive awareness of ocean health, inspire people to make small changes that make a positive impact on the environment and take action to improve the health of oceans both local and globally.

The 57,000-square-foot Ocean5 will have both duckpin and 10-pin bowling, two VIP bowling suites, a two-level laser challenge arena that can accommodate 40 players, a game room and redemption store, meeting rooms for groups up to 400 and the destination restaurant, Table 47.

As the name suggests, Table 47 is designed to be a comfortable social gathering place where people can connect over delicious food, and is located along the 47th parallel in the heart of the South Sound. The fresh-from-scratch restaurant will feature a variety of dishes ranging from familiar classics to flavor inspirations from around the world, with a focus on responsibly sourced ingredients.

“From my years of traveling the globe, I have always been struck by the common impact food and mealtime gatherings have in connecting people,” Alstead said. “I am excited to create a space for the South Sound community where people can relax, escape their daily routine and connect through great food and shared meals.”

From date nights to social time with friends and large family gatherings, Table 47 is designed to accommodate groups big and small. The restaurant can host more than 200 guests inside the dining room, casual coffee café and bar, plus an additional 100 outside on a seasonal, heated patio. The open exhibition kitchen will be a vibrant backdrop to the intimate chef's counter where chef showcase dinners and other special events will be held. The large private dining space and event rooms are perfect for parties of all sizes, from birthday parties to wedding receptions.

Our company has been working with Alstead for eight years on all aspects of the project's development from feasibility to design in order to help him bring his dream to a reality. It is rewarding to see the final product as it comes together.
