Most popular alcoholic beverages

Although fewer adults are drinking alcoholic beverages (see the article in this issue), for adults who do drink, beer remains the most popular, followed by liquor.

Popularity differs by age. Beer remains the most popular choice among young and middle-aged adults, but for those aged 55 and over, wine is the most preferred alcoholic beverage.
