Results from a new out-of-home leisure survey

In May 2026, Integrated Insight conducted a survey of 2,350 respondents aged 18-70 who had participated in at least one paid out-of-home (OOH) leisure activity in the past 12 months and had participated in planning leisure decisions. Here are some key findings from the survey.

Time Spent on Leisure Activities

Visited in past 12 months

This list shows the many options people have for out-of-home leisure activities (and it's not comprehensive).

When Tickets are Purchased

Nearly half of tickets for shorter-duration attractions such as FECs and LBEs are purchased on the day of the visit at the venue.

Use of AI to plan leisure

Younger consumers most often use AI to help plan leisure activities.

We've previously written about the importance of ensuring agentic AI clearly understands who you are, what you offer, when you're available, and how to book or buy tickets (see the article HERE).
