Back in early March, I was working on our March issue of the Leisure eNewsletter. Mid-March Covid and the lockdowns changed everything. It was suddenly a very different and scary world not only for all of us but for all the location-based leisure businesses across the nation and the world. Everything we were writing about became history in a different era.
Since developments with the pandemic were changing so rapidly, I decided to switch over to using this blog to report on new developments in a timelier manner than we could in a monthly enewsletter. Since then, I’ve posted a blog at least every week, 62 in total, to be exact.
I plan to continue posting blogs on timely developments, but a little less frequently than during the past months. We’ve also decided to re-activate the Leisure eNewsletter with its first issue for 2021, our 21st year of publication. In the issue, guest author Bob Cooney and we take a look at 27 different trends that will be shaping the post-pandemic landscape for out-of-home entertainment and the arts, which we’ve hoping will arrive later in 2021.
