Recent Publications

Vicki Stoecklin, Education and Child Development Director, has had two recent publications on her work to keep child care centers healthy for young children. The most recent article, Creating Healthy Infant and Toddler Environments, will appear in Child Care Bridges, a publication of the Manitoba Child Care Association. This article follows two days of training provided to early childhood staff last spring on how to create healthy, sustainable (or “green”) childcare.

Vicki’s other article, Creating Environments that Sustain Children, Staff and our Planet, was recently published in Going Green: Kansas Guide, by the Kansas Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (KACCRRA).

In November, she wrote an article for the state of Missouri to use as a resource for providers applying for facility grant monies. Suggestions for Healthy Environmental Choices for Children offers ways to make wise choices for children’s health.
