Fall has arrived and we are happy for the cooler weather! Time to do some fall plantings and clean up the garden beds.
My big event for the fall is an exciting one! I have been asked to be the Honorary Chairperson for an event with Richard Louv. Yes, this is the Richard Louv who wrote Last Child in the Woods (richardlouv.com/ books/ last-child/ ) and helped to spark an international focus on returning children and families to nature. HE IS COMING TO KANSAS CITY ON OCTOBER 6TH, THANKS TO OUR LADY’S MONTESSORI SCHOOL.
The evening will be an opportunity to connect with others who are interested in nature in a downtown rooftop garden setting (www.ourladysmontessori.com/ reconnect.html) . Ticket sales will go towards creating an outdoor play garden at our Lady’s Montessori School. Please join us in creating a Kansas City movement for more natural spaces for our children and families. The information about the Re:Connect Event follows. Purchase tickets at www.ourladysmontessori.com/reconnect.html.
Happy Fall!
