Starting a new child care center or providing technical assistance to child care centers?

Our two-day educational course, Child Care Business Institute, is designed to give new childcare, day care, kindergarten and child development owners, directors, licensing staff and resource and referral staff the training needed to understand the business aspects of starting-up, opening and running a child care center. The symposium will be offered February 17-18, 2005, at the Hampton Inn on the Country Club Plaza here in Kansas City, Missouri. The topics for training include creating start-up and operational budgets, doing a break-even analysis, writing policies and procedures, legal aspects of running a child care center, writing a business plan, loan procurement, selecting a site and choosing an architect.
