Child Care Business Institute

The Child Care Business Institute was held on July 15-16, 2004 in Kansas City, Missouri with thirteen professionals from resource and referral agencies, licensing staff, current directors and owners wanting to create a child care business. Our furthest participant came all the way from the state of Washington!! A testament to how difficult it is to find training on the business aspect of running a child care center. The Business Institute covers topics such as writing a business plan, developing a marketing plan, creating budgets, and writing policies and procedures. The course will be offered again next February. Continuing Education credits are available for this course.
