2004 National Children & Youth Garden Symposium

The American Horticultural Society sponsors a Children & Youth Garden Symposium every year, which will take place this July 29-31, 2004 in Ithaca, New York. The symposium's purpose is to bring together educators and horticulturalists who are interested in children and youth gardening. We have attended the conference every other year and can say that it was a great experience. The keynote presenter is Dr. Roger Hart from the City University of New York, Children's Environments Research Group. We have worked with Roger on a project and he has fabulous ideas for involving children in the design process. For more information on the actual sessions, click here.
