Quarter results for two location-based entertainment chains

Both Dave & Buster's and CEC Entertainment have reported their lastest quaterly results. Get the scoop on performance results not published in their 10-Q reports.

Both Dave & Buster’s and Chuck E. Cheese’s (CEC Entertainment) have reported their most recent 2009 quarterly financials. The Great Recession is continuing to negatively impact their same stores sales. For their most recent quarter, Dave & Buster’s saw a 10% decline in comparable store sales. CEC faired better with only a 3% decline. Dave & Buster’s is getting hit the hardest with their special event group business sales and CEC’s results show that the severity of the recession varies throughout the country, with the Western region showing the greatest declines and the two worse performing states are California and Florida.
